The property taxes collected by the City of Welland are distributed between the City, the Niagara Region, and education.
Tax Notice
2026 final property tax bills are sent out in early June. Receive your bill sooner by signing up for e-billing and have your bill delivered right to your inbox.
Ensure your property tax payments are paid on time with one of the City’s pre-authorized payment plans to have your property taxes automatically paid over 11 months or on each of the instalment due dates. We mail property tax bills at least 21 days before each instalment due date.

Interim installment dates
- First installment: February 27, 2026
- Second installment: April 30, 2026
Final installment dates
- Third installment: June 30, 2026
- Fourth installment: August 31, 2026
