2026 Pavement rejuvenation program

The City of Welland will be completing pavement rejuvenation work on the following streets:

• Golden Boulevard East, from East Main Street to Hagar Street
• Golden Boulevard West, from Susan Street to Lincoln Street
• Scholfield Avenue Part 1, from Welland Street to Lincoln Street
• Scholfield Avenue Part 2, from East Main Street to Major Street
• Crowland Avenue, from York Street to Lincoln Street
• Welland Street, from the west limit to Crowland Avenue
• McAlpine Avenue, from Major Street to Lincoln Street
• White Avenue, from East Main Street to Major Street
• Price Avenue, from Niagara Street to First Avenue
• Ross Street, from East Main Street to Downs Drive
• Parkway, from Niagara Street to First Avenue

The work will include pavement preservation, crack sealing, asphalt milling, and minor curb repairs.

Walker Construction Limited will complete the work on behalf of the City. The total tendered cost is $1,581,156, excluding HST.

Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of September 28, 2026.

Some roads and intersections will need to close temporarily while work is underway. Signs will be in place to help drivers navigate around construction areas.
