King-Hill House

The squared arches above the windows and doors of this modest brick house are typical of the late 19th century Italianate style. Also characteristic of this style is the bay window on the east side, with its projecting cornice supported by simple paired brackets underscored with patterned moulding. Decorative curvilinear moulding further accents the top frame of all three bay windows.

The house, built in 1872 and likely constructed of brick from the Hooker brickyard, is similar in appearance and style to other houses of this era on Bald and Maple Streets.
