Thanksgiving Day Hours

Stay up to date with what’s open and closed this Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 13, 2025.

  • City Hall: All City Hall Departments will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, for Thanksgiving Day, and will re-open on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.
  • Public Works: closed.
  • Welland Community Centre:Open Saturday, October 11, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 12, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    Closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, for Thanksgiving Day, and will re-open on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
  • LIV Communities and Jack Ballantyne (Youth) Arenas:Closed
  • The Docks, Rec Rentals: Monday, October 13, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Empire Sportsplex: Monday, October 13, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Taxes and/or water: payment of bills may still be made by utilizing the drop box located at the easterly front entrance of Civic Square, 60 East Main Street.

Parking tickets: payments can now be made using Visa or MasterCard through our online service at www.welland.ca/parking/onlinepayments.asp (please allow for two business days, for your ticket to be processed and added to the online payment system).

In the event of an urgent road, water, sewer, facilities, or forestry problem, please call the City’s 24-hour response line at (905) 735-1700, ext. 3000.
