Labour Day Hours

Stay up to date with what’s open and closed this Labour Day, Monday, September 1, 2025.

  • City Hall: All City Hall departments will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, for Labour Day, and will re-open on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.
  • Public Works: closed.
  • Welland Community Centre:Open Saturday, August 30, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 31, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, for Labour Day, and will re-open on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
  • LIV Communities and Jack Ballantyne (Youth) Arenas:Closed

Taxes and/or water: payment of bills may still be made by utilizing the drop box located at the easterly front entrance of Civic Square, 60 East Main Street.

Parking tickets: payments can now be made using Visa or MasterCard through our online service at www.welland.ca/parking/onlinepayments.asp (please allow for two business days, for your ticket to be processed and added to the online payment system).

In the event of an urgent road, water, sewer, facilities, or forestry problem, please call the City’s 24-hour response line at (905) 735-1700, ext. 3000.
