Civic Holiday Hours

Stay up to date with what’s open and closed this Civic Holiday, Monday, Aug 4, 2025.

  • City Hall: All City Hall departments will be closed on Monday, Aug 4, 2025 and will re-open on Tuesday, Aug 5, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.
  • Public Works: closed.
  • Open Saturday, August 2, Sunday, August 3, 2025, and Monday, August 4, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Welland Community Centre: Open Saturday, August 2, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 3, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Closed on Monday, August 4, 2025, for the Civic Holiday, and will re-open on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
  • LIV Communities and Jack Ballantyne (Youth) Arenas: Closed to the Public; Open for Booked Rentals Only

Taxes and/or water: payment of bills may still be made by utilizing the drop box located at the easterly front entrance of Civic Square, 60 East Main Street.

Parking tickets: payments can now be made using Visa or MasterCard through our online service at www.welland.ca/parking/onlinepayments.asp (please allow for two business days, for your ticket to be processed and added to the online payment system).

In the event of an urgent road, water, sewer, facilities, or forestry problem, please call the City’s 24-hour response line at (905) 735-1700, ext. 3000.
