The General Manager, Planning and Development Services, with knowledge and expertise, provides a path for the orderly development of a well planned community for today, tomorrow and the future to Council, citizens and outside interested parties.
Planning and Development Services is comprised of two Divisions Planning Division and Building and Inspections Division.

The Building and Inspection Division reviews plans and conducts inspections for Building Permits, unsafe buildings and Property Standards complaints in accordance with the Ontario Building Code Act. Licensing for plumbers and administration of the SWAP and LASSR Programs are also handled by this Division.
