TWO HOUR FREE ON-STREET PARKING

In order to provide easy, accessible on-street parking for customers to come and shop freely in the downtown core during Niagara Region’s rehabilitation work on the East Main Street Bridge, the City of Welland has implemented Two Hour Free Parking at most on-street parking stalls controlled by parking meters. All meters in the downtown core and along King Street, north of Griffith Street, allow for Two Hour Free Parking.

Two Hour Free Parking began April 7, 2014 and will continue until one week following the opening of the Main Street Bridge.

Parking Enforcement Officers will enforce all on street parking meters and vehicles exceeding the Two Hour limit will receive a Parking Infraction Notice.  (Fine of $14.00)

Please note, all Municipal Parking Lots will require payment.

For further information, questions or concerns, please contact the Traffic, Parking and By-law Enforcement Division at 905-735-1700 extension 2250, 2113 or 2212
