Notice of Construction - Quaker Road Sanitary Trunk Sewer Upgrade

City of Welland and Town of Pelham Quaker Road Closure

• Quaker Rd Closure - Notice 1

Niagara Region will be constructing a new sanitary trunk sewer along Quaker Road between Pelham Street and Rice Road in the City of Welland and Town of Pelham. The new 600mm sanitary trunk sewer was identified as a long-term system improvement, which provides sanitary sewer relief along Quaker Road connecting the Pelham Street Regional sanitary sewer to the outlet sewer east of Rice Road. This will provide adequate capacity for future sanitary flows.

Forks Road bridge closure

• Forks Road Bridge Closure

This is to notify the public of a road closure of the Forks Road bridge. This closure is required for public safety. The bridge construction has made significant progress to date including the completion of all demolition works, preparation of the piers and abutments, installation of the steel girders and commencement of decking. The bridge is on track for completion in August 2024.
