A) Hours and activities vary on statutory holidays. Hours will be posted for each holiday on our website.

A) Our hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 8:30pm, Saturdays 8am to 2:30pm and Sundays 11am to 2:30pm. Time may change in the event of a holiday/closure.

A) A: Yes we do! Our Gift Cards can be purchased in increments of $25, $50, $75 and $100. They are available for purchase at the Welland Community Wellness Complex, 145 Lincoln Street. They can be used for program registrations, facility rentals, concert tickets, within the City of Welland Recreation and Culture Division. Gift Cards have no redeemable value until purchased and they cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash. Gift Card orders cannot be cancelled, nontransferable, nor are they refundable. Lost or stolen Gift Cards will not be replaced. To check Gift Card balances use the ActiveNet website. Gift Cards are reloadable using this website. This card does not expire. Resale of Gift Cards is strictly prohibited.

A) Although the Welland Community Wellness Complex does not host free movies, the City does show free movies at Welland Civic Square on occasion.

A) We don’t schedule musical entertainment in the atrium, but we are open to new ideas. All suggestions are welcome, please complete a Suggestion Form at the Welland Community Wellness Complex.

A) The Welland Community Wellness Complex provides an array of recreational programming for all ages. We provide bus tours for the winter lights displays in December only.

A) The Welland Community Wellness Complex offers a variety of programs and settings that encourage members to socialize. Although we do not have a scheduled Friday Night Social, we do offer Friday Night Live, which is a favourite with the seniors. All suggestions are welcome. Please feel free to complete a suggestion form for new programs and submit at the Wellness Complex.

A) We are always introducing new programs and events and definitely open to suggestions. Although dinner dances are not a regularly scheduled program we have hosted these events in the past and are open to suggestions regarding such events. Please feel free to complete a suggestion form for new programs and submit at the Welland Community Wellness Complex.

A) The Paddle Boats are managed by the Welland Recreational Canal Corps (WRCC). This is a seasonal program. View program information.

A) The rear doors are for emergency use only. All persons entering the facility must enter through the main entrance and scan their Wellness Pass. All persons using the Wellness Complex must be an active member.

A) NR – Non-Resident (Anyone that does not live in Welland and pays city taxes elsewhere.) R – Resident (Anyone living in and paying city taxes to the City of Welland.)

A) Yes, the City of Welland has three outdoor skating rinks: Chippawa Park Pond, Woodlawn Bush and Civic Square. More information is available here.

A) We currently do not provide skating lessons for seniors, however we do offer a senior skate time during the Fall/Winter sessions. Please see the Fall/Winter Wellness Guide for dates and times.

A) W do not provide helmets and skates for rental. Helmets may be provided during public skating times by the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) to borrow.
