Financial Assistance

What is Wellness for All? A financial assistance program that is designed to assist those with limited financial resources to participate in programs offered by the Recreation and Culture Division. Registration fees are shared equally between the registrant, program donor and the City of Welland.

Criteria for Receiving Funding

  • Interested applicants must be resident of Welland
  • Must demonstrate financial limitation
  • Funding must be available in the applicants age bracket in order to be considered
  • Funding may not always be available as it is based on donations from community organizations
  • Completion of an application form and follow-up interviews are required

Enrich Lives – Make a Donation

The Wellness For All Financial Assistance Program relies on generous donations from community groups, local businesses and individuals to operate successfully. All donations are matched dollar for dollar by the City of Welland. 100% of donations made go directly to residents of Welland through the Wellness For All program. Host an Event

Why not host an event to raise funds for the Wellness For All Financial Assistance Program? Be creative! Host a birthday party, staff barbecue, charity softball game, ball hockey tournament, golf tournament, weekend bike tour, show'n shine car show, or even a garage sale.

REGIONAL ASSISTANCE

Kidsport Niagara
Provides grant assistance to local children 18 years old or younger who are facing financial barriers preventing them from joining organized sport.

Jumpstart
Financial assistance for children ages 4-18 to participate in organized sports and recreation programs. Grants cannot be awarded in conjunction with other subsidy programs.
