Niagara Distress Centre: An anonymous and confidential 24/7 service Niagara residents can access to discuss anything that is causing them to feel concerned, worried, or upset. For support call 905-688-3711, text 905-682-2719, or chat with a responder online at https://www.distresscentreniagara.com/
Canadian Mental Health Association Niagara (CMHA) - Urgent Support Services: Book same day appointments with a mental health worker Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., for support in-person or over the phone. Dial (905) 641-5222 x0 to book.
Family Counselling Centre: No cost telephone, virtual, or in-person counselling sessions. Dial 905-937-3226 from Monday-Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to request an appointment time. Appointment availability is dependent on program funding.
Kids Help Phone: Free telephone, chat, and text support for help seekers from age 5 to 25. Call 1-800-668-6868, text 68-68-68, or https://kidshelpphone.ca/
Youth Wellness Hub: Provides free mental health support for youth aged 12-25. For support or to register call 905-229-9946.
Pathstone Mental Health: Free mental health supports for youth 17 years old and younger living in the Niagara region./p>
- Pathstone facilitates a walk-in counselling clinic at the Seaway Mall, near the Cineplex Odeon entrance, on Mondays. The clinic opens at 11:30 a.m. with the last appointment taken at 6 p.m. It’s recommended to call ahead to confirm hours and availability. Call 1-800-263-4944 to book.
- There’s also a support line that operates Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call 1-800-263-4944 for help.
COAST: A confidential 24/7 telephone counselling service as well as on-site crisis outreach intervention as needed. It operates seven days a week, 24-hours a day for individuals 16 years and older experiencing a mental health crisis. Call 1-866-550-5205 x1.
988 Suicide Crisis Help Line: Confidential 24/7 telephone crisis line for individuals struggling with their mental health and experiencing thoughts of suicide. Dial 9-8-8 to connect.
