Welcome to Infrastructure and Development Services. You will find a variety of services listed under the umbrella of Infrastructure and Development Services, which is comprised of seven major divisions. Infrastructure and Development Services ensures that Welland residents receive efficient and courteous service from:
The Manager of Infrastructure and Development Services, along with competent staff, provide services to Welland through the operation and maintenance of the City’s assets. These assets include Water distribution, Sewage Collection, Facilities, Roads, Parks, Forestry, Cemeteries, Arena, Engineering, Administration, By-Laws, Traffic Operation, and Parking. Infrastructure and Development Services further facilitates design approvals, long range planning, monitors construction for roads/water mains/sewers, utilities, new subdivisions and industrial/commercial and institutional developments, and also includes the Building and Planning Divisions.
Through these divisions, it is our vision to make quality and value of public services and infrastructure a source of pride for the people of Welland.
Infrastructure and Development Services intends to achieve this vision through the cooperative and result driven approach from all divisions. As a team we will continue with our mission to provide
- Continuous improvement in the safe, efficient and effective operation and maintenance of a sustainable municipal infrastructure for the citizens of Welland
- Levels of Service for roads, sidewalks, water, sewers, drainage, watercourses and parking as determined by Council in as cost-effective, courteous, and responsive manner as possible
- Support for attracting and initiating new development and expansion of existing development
Administrative and Support Services
The Manager of the Administrative and Support Services Division, Dan Harlan, directs the administrative support staff of Engineering, Public Works, Parks, and the Facilities Divisions. Our Administrative and Support Team perform clerical functions for the Infrastructure Services in relation to service in multiple areas. Professional staff focus on service quality and accomplished results. They are available to answer your questions regarding Infrastructure services in person, via post, telephone or email, Monday to Friday at the following times and locations:
