Purpose:

To hear appeals regarding assessment complaints for local improvement charges within the City of Welland; and
To hear appeals on drainage works assessments, being that portion of the cost of a proposed drainage works to be collected, as taxes, from the land owner.

Mandate/Terms of Reference:

Municipal Act, 2001; Ontario Regulations 119/03 and 586/06 pertaining to local improvements.
Section 97 of the Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.D.17, as amended.
