Wellness Complex Facility Information
The Welland Community Wellness Complex responds to the needs of the Welland Community. Efforts have been made to expand service delivery and community outreach initiatives. If you, or a person you know require additional support to participate in activities at the Wellness Complex do not hesitate to contact our staff to be paired with a Leisure Buddy Volunteer.

Amenities
The Welland Community Wellness Complex has a variety of amenities to suit your recreational and cultural needs.
| Activity Room: A multi-functional room ideal for arts and crafts, training courses and other group related activities. The Activity Room can hold a maximum capacity of up to 75 persons standing, 50 persons seated. The Activity Room is ideal for small groups. Computer Lab: A functional Computer Lab with internet access. The Computer Lab has 14 computers and is an ideal location to broaden your computer literacy, schedule a training session or just surf the web. The Computer Lab was created in partnership with the Rose City Seniors Foundation Board and the New Horizons for Seniors Program. |

| Dressing Rooms Male & Female: Our Dressing Rooms can accommodate 10 people each and provide that personal space you need to get ready for your big event. Green Room: The Green Room at the Wellness Complex is ideal for preparing for a public speaking engagement or performance. The Green Room has a maximum capacity of 10 persons and features a desk, a seating area and a sink with countertop and shelving. The Green Room connects with the back-stage of the Theatre and can offer privacy if you require additional space to change.

Meeting Room: The Meeting Room is an ideal place for committee and business meetings. The Meeting Room can accommodate 12 persons maximum and features a large board room table, chairs, paper-display easel, overhead projector with canvass screen and a conference phone.

Multi-Purpose Room: The Multi-Purpose Room at the Welland Community Wellness Complex has a maximum capacity of 280 persons. The Multi-Purpose room can be divided into two sections if required; by means of a partition. The Multi-Purpose room is used for shuffleboard, darts, pickle-ball and a range of other recreational activities. Features of the Multi-Purpose Room include access to the Kitchen and a range of seating option combinations. If you require a large space with multiple access points then the Multi-Purpose Room would be ideal for your function or event.

| Office (reception): Our reception area is our chance to make a good first impression. Our friendly and helpful volunteers would love to take you on a tour of our facilities and our programmers would love to get you involved in a recreational or leisure activity that is of interest to you. Our reception area is also an excellent place to pick up information packets and brochures on community related events. | ||||
Theatre: The 350-seat Theatre at the Welland Community Wellness Complex is one of our centre pieces. The Theatre has a maximum capacity of 385 persons and features tiered theatre style seating which can be seat up and broken down as required. The Theatre has excellent acoustics and is a prime location for awards and ceremonial celebrations. If you’re looking to deliver a message to a large audience, the Theatre would be an excellent forum for your presentation.
Theatre Stage: The Theatre Stage can be rented separately or jointly with the Theatre. The Theatre Stage is fully accessible and features all of the key features a stage would need for a theatrical performance including: curtains, audio-visual connections and storage space. |

Therapeutic Pool: The Therapeutic Pool at the Welland Community Wellness Complex has a maximum capacity of 10 persons comfortably. The Therapeutic Pool is accessible by rampart, stairs and personal lift assist. The Therapeutic Pool is 4 feet deep and is kept at a comfortable temperature of 92° – 94° F. The Adjacent whirlpool/hot tub can fit 5 persons comfortably. Wellness Complex visitors can take advantage of hot water therapy to improve their mobility. The Therapeutic Pool is also an excellent resource for those who are recovering from an injury.

Woodshop: The Woodshop is perfectly suited for the hobbyist at heart. The maximum capacity of the Woodshop is 4 persons. The Woodshop features a compound miter saw, a belt sander, a stationary radial arm saw, 2 belt/disc sanders, a grinder, an oscillating spindle sander, a jointer/planer, a band saw, a table saw, a drill press, a scroll saw, a router table and an assortment of hand tools and small power tools. The Woodshop facility is fully ventilated and features a vacuum inverter which eliminates dust and wood debris from the air.
