Attention Passengers - Effective Nov. 10, 2014 Transit Service Adjustments

  • In order to provide a better service and ensure better connections the following route adjustments will take place on November 10, 2014.
    • Route 1 Broadway – Route 1 will leave the Terminal and travel south on Hellems. The bus continues west along Lincoln and turns north on Denistoun to Maple. The bus then travels Maple and crosses Prince Charles and follows the regular routing to King and Lincoln. The bus then continues along King St. to Division and into the Terminal. This adjustment provides restored bus coverage on Hellems between East Main and Lincoln St. Denistoun is now served at the beginning of the route rather than the end of the route. See map.
      Implementation date: November 10, 2014
    • Route 3 First Ave. – This bus will travel in reverse of its present routing with some changes. The bus will travel across East Main and West Main to Prince Charles Drive (PCD) in lieu of Niagara, Elmview, Edgar and Norway. The bus will travel north on PCD to Fitch and onto First Ave. up to Thorold and then follow regular routing to the College. The bus will then leave the College travelling south on First to Thorold then east on Thorold to Niagara and south on Niagara to Division and into the Terminal. This provides close proximity coverage for Elmview as the bus travels south on Niagara. The bus will not cover the Wellness Centre but this area will be covered by Route 1 on the north side of Lincoln with traffic lights for crossing the street. See map
      Implementation date: November 10, 2014
    • Route 4 Fitch – This bus will follow the regular routing until it reaches the corner of Colbeck and Diffin. The bus will continue along Colbeck to Prince Charles Drive and follow regular routing to the Terminal. The bus will not service Diffin Fitch and PCD area however this area is serviced by the #2 Rice Rd. bus. This bus is one of the highest mileage routes and this change will assist with schedule adherence. See map
      Implementation date: November 10, 2014
    • Route 5 Lincoln-Wellington – This bus will follow the regular routing, including the Promenade Tanguay loop, up to Plymouth and Lincoln where the bus would turn east on Lincoln and north on Burgar to the Terminal. King St. northbound will be serviced by Route 1 Broadway. See map
      Implementation date: November 10, 2014
