• Attention Route # 8 Woodlawn Passengers

  River Rd. will be closed between Downs Road and Woodlawn Road from Dec. 1, 2011 until Dec. 21, 2011 due to road construction. The Route # 8 Woodlawn will detour as follows:

  Bus will leave Terminal and proceed along East Main, cross the Bridge and turn right onto Niagara St travelling express, turning right onto Woodlawn to Smart Centre. Leaving Smart Centre and travelling express to Seaway Mall, then leaving Mall by left turn onto Niagara St. and right onto Woodlawn and right onto First and then enter College by Ring Rd. then leaving College by right turn onto First and left turn onto Woodlawn and right turn onto Niagara and express back to Terminal.

  Quaker Rd. and First Avenue passengers may use the Brock Link bus or the Niagara on the Lake (NOTL) Link and travel to the College and transfer onto connecting buses at College.

  Passengers in the River Rd./ Ross St. area the Route #1 Broadway bus will cover this area at approximately 5 after and 35 after the hour. The additional routing  is as follows on Route #1 Broadway.

  Upon arrival at Division the bus will continue along Division to Burgar and continue along River Road, right turn onto Bruce St. and right turn onto River Rd., right onto East Main Street and enter Terminal.

  This is expected to last three weeks and we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Please ask your driver for clarification or call the office 905 735-1700 ext. 3101

• WellTrans - (formerly Handi-Trans)

  WellTrans is the new name for our specialized transit service in the City of Welland.

  There will be no change to the high level of service our employees deliver to the public. Our hours of service, our fares and our phone numbers will remain the same.

• ATTENTION Niagara College Students - Sept. 2011 - April 2012
  Bus service to and from NOTL Campus from Woodlawn Campus

  Please note the following:

  Monday to Friday service only
  No Holiday service

  1st Semester Service begins Sept. 1, 2011 - Dec. 16th 2011
  No service Labour Day Sept. 5th, Thanksgiving day Oct. 10th
  No service Dec. 19th - Dec. 31st

  2nd Semester Service begins Jan. 2, 2012 - April 27th 2012.
  No service Family Day Feb. 20, 2012; Good Friday April 6, 2012
  No service Reading Week Feb. 27th, 2012 - Mar. 2nd, 2012

• Attention Brock and Niagara College Students
  Effective September 1, 2011
  Improved Service between Niagara College Welland and Brock University on the Welland - St. Catharines Connection

  1^st Term  Sept. 2011 – Dec. 2011

  • Service commences Sept. 1 – Dec. 21^st
  • No service on Labour Day Sept. 5th or Thanksgiving Day Oct. 10th
  • Additional Service (exams) full (Monday to Thursday) service on Saturdays Dec. 10^th and 17^th and Fridays Dec. 9^th and 16^th
  • Reduced service between Dec. 22 and Dec. 31, 2011

  2^nd Semester Jan. 2012 – April 2012

  • Service commences Jan. 2, 2012 – April 27, 2012
  • No service on Family Day Feb. 20th or Good Friday April 6th.
  • Full (Monday to Thursday) service will operate on Saturdays April 14^th and 21^st.(exams)  and Fridays April 13^th and 20^th(exams)
  • Reduced service after  April 27^th

• Accessible Conventional Service

  Welland Transit is pleased to announce that Route #3 First Avenue is now accessible. This provides accessible service to Niagara College and the Wellness Centre.

 

• Detour - for Lincoln - Wellington Route #5

  Please click here for information regarding changes to Welland Transit Route 5 (Lincoln - Wellington). Effective Monday July 25^th. This detour will be in effect until traffic lights are installed at Wavell and Lincoln.
