  • Community Improvement Plans (CIPs) and Urban Design Study

The City of Welland has retained a consortium lead by Dillon Consulting Limited to prepare Community Improvement Plans for the Downtown and the Health and Wellness Cluster identified in the City’s Official Plan as community improvement priorities. A Community Improvement Plan is a tool intended to stimulate the revitalization of, and investment in, an area thereby initiating change and redevelopment through public and private sector investment. Working closely with a steering committee, City Staff and key stakeholders it is intended that an extensive consultation process will result in the preparation of Community Improvement Plans which will stimulate the revitalization and redevelopment of the Downtown and the Health and Wellness Cluster.

The consortium lead by Dillon Consulting Limited will also be preparing an Urban Design Study which ultimately will result in the creation of design guidelines for all land use designations in the City.
