|An information day at the blade production facility for Green Energy Doors Open (GEDO)|
As part of OSEA’s Green Energy Doors Open action day, PowerBlades Inc., a subsidiary of Senvion SE, will be opening its North American blade facilities in Welland, Ontario to the public. The information event is taking place on Saturday October 4th. Opening speeches and a presentation of the facility given by the Mayor of Welland, Barry Sharpe and plant manager, Dan Dragoman will begin at 10am, followed by a Q&A period. Tours will take place throughout the day at 11:00, 12:00 and 2:00 and refreshments will be served. Join us and learn about how Senvion and PowerBlades is contributing to the creation of good jobs and clean energy in your community. |Welland Santa Claus Parade|
The parade will march off at 4:00 pm sharp from the old Zeller’s / Canadian Tire Financial Services parking lot (corner Wellington & East Main Streets) and head west on East Main to the Civic Square where Santa will turn on the Christmas lights and the Children’s After Party will take place.
