SPARE CROSSING GUARDS


The City of Welland is accepting applications for Spare Crossing Guards.  Under the direction of the Parking & Traffic Operations Technician, a Crossing Guards main responsibility includes ensuring pedestrian’s safety when crossing city streets to and from school areas before, during and after school hours during the current school year (September to June).  Spare Crossing Guards must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week at any location assigned.

The successful candidate requires:

  1. A valid Ontario Driver’s License with access to a reliable vehicle
     
  2. Knowledge of city streets and crosswalks
     
  3. Available to work on short notice at any location assigned
     
  4. A clean Venerable Sector report

The hourly wage rate for this position is $12.43 per hour plus 4% in lieu of vacation.
