Volunteer Division

Welland Volunteer Fire Companies Station 1 and Station 2 made up of (66 Volunteers) proudly protect 48,000 people living in an area of 33 square miles along with 48 career firefighters.

Volunteer Firefighters have been providing fire suppression to the City of Welland back as far as 1901 and always striving at providing the utmost safety for themselves and anyone in need.

The Companies have been very supportive in raising funds for many of the charities in the City of Welland and have been honored for their achievements by a number of organizations.

No Previous Emergency Services
Experience is Required!

Our Welland Volunteer Firefighters:

  • Help PROTECT and SAVE LIVES in OUR community
  • Respond to emergencies; teach public Fire and Life Safety
  • Receive hands-on training including CPR, First Aid and Marine Rescue
  • Serve our community while learning valuable new skills
  • Meet our neighbours and make new friends for life
