Why are you running in the Municipal Election?  

I have a comprehensive plan for jobs and infrastructure available at http://kurtismccartney.com for anyone to see. This city was built on infrastructure, like the rails and canal, and has witnessed what happens when we do not maintain and improve what makes us strong economically.

My involvement with the expansion at Brock University means that I know what to ask for to save money and grow. Welcome to the future.

Kurtis McCartney was born and raised in Welland. He attended the University of Windsor and Brock University. He works with local organizations that are committed to justice, sustainability, and peace both internationally and locally. He excels at using and developing technology for home and business use.

Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG) Niagara Peninsula Amateur Radio Club (NPARC) Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES)

Interests:

Cycling, Open Source Software, Solar Electricity, HAM Radio, and more.

Members of his family have worked at John Deere, Atlas Steels, Stelpipe, and Henniges. Commitment to his family drives him to make Welland a better place for families and a hot-spot for economic growth.

He is also rumoured to be “from the future”.
